Since Clams Casino took to instagram to hint at who the special guest would be on his new track, and fans immediately guessing it was the elusive villian known as DOOM, we have been (im)patiently waiting to hear what the collaboration would sound like.

Well today our patience has been rewarded as Clams unveiled the collaborative new track titled “Bookfiend” moments ago, which will definitely appeal to fans of both artists as they both deliver their signature musical stylings. Give it a spin below.

"DOOMposter" shows up for London gig? promoters issue statement | Music News

Even the most casual of DOOM (formerly MF DOOM) fans are aware of that mask. The metal face piece is as synonymous to the Long Island producer-emcee as an eyepatch is to Slick Rick, a grill is to Paul Wall, or a tightly-packed blunt is to Snoop Dogg (and even more to his new-found alter-ego, Snoop Lion). But while DOOM's intentional mystique is iconic, it can also lead to some confusion. Case in point: a recent gig at London's Livin' Proof.Read more

JJ DOOM - "Guv'nor" | Music Video

DOOM and Jneiro Jarel's collaborative album, Key To The Kuffs, has flooded the 'net thick and fast. With plenty of material and announcements - how about a live performance on BBC Radio 4? News of a headlining gig at Bestival? Oh, or a FULL STREAM OF THE ALBUM?! - having preceded its recent release, JJ DOOM (as the rap pair are otherwise known as) add to our procrastination duties by giving their "Guv'nor" cut its own video.

It's not often you see DOOM at the forefront of the blogosphere like this (we're talking about a man who wears a mask, and can pick from a gazillion monikers at any given moment, remember), but when you get slick, mirror-techniqued visuals like those below, you can't complain.

Key To The Cuffs is out now on iTunes. We suggest you grab yourself a copy.

JJ DOOM (Jneiro Jarel x DOOM) - 'Key To The Cuffs' | Album Stream

Hip-hop's notoriously masked man DOOM has gone by many aliases in his time: Zev Love X, Viktor Vaughn, MF DOOM, and famously Madvillain (for his collaboration with Madlib) and Danger DOOM (when on wax with Danger Mouse), but for his latest elusive endeavour, the producer-emcee has joined forces with Brooklyn-born rhymer Jneiro Janel to form the JJ DOOM alliance.Read more

First up, the pair have liberated a brand new (and predictably dope) cut from their forthcoming LP with "Rhymin' Slang", which you can stream below.Read more

Iconic underground hip-hop producer-emcee DOOM, formerly known as MF DOOM, has had many aliases in his time, particularly for his collaborations (Zev Love X, Madvillain and Danger Doom to name just a few), but for one of his latest endeavours, the masked underground figure has united with fellow alt. rap act Jneiro Jarel to form JJ DOOM. Oh No f/ DOOM - '3 Dollars' | New Music

Stones Throw producer-rapper Oh No debuts the newest single from his forthcoming concept album OhNoMite today with "3 Dollars" featuring MF DOOM, who now goes under the abbreviated DOOM moniker. As previously discussed, the LP is crafted solely on samples from the classic 1975 blaxploitation film, Dolemite, and it's pretty clear with today's offering that that makes for a dope formula. I’ll Be Your Mirror: Portishead, DOOM, Company Flow at Alexandra Palace, London | Live Review

En route to an unlikely music venue in the middle of nowhere that is Alexandra Palace for the I'll Be Your Mirror event (July 23), the sad news of Amy Whitehouse’ untimely passing has filtered out through the grapevine. Rather than dampen the event it only adds to the magnitude of witnessing the elusive and enigmatic MF DOOM, legends of the Hip Hop underground Company Flow (specially reunited for the occasion) and music innovators Portishead all under one roof for the first day of a two day mini festival featuring a diverse range of artists selected by Portishead to perform.

Upon entering the venue just in time to see Doom and his Fat Man Scoop look a-like hype man take to the stage in the Great Hall, one thing becomes obvious – his stage show consists of one glowing apple from a Macbook resting on a table. No DJ, just an iTunes play list of instrumentals for Doom to rap over and even more product placement for Steve Jobs. For any other artist this would constitute as taking lazy liberties, however Doom is not just any artist and due to strength of his material and distinct charismatic delivery – he manages to get away with such liberty taking.
