Dionne Bromfield x Mz Bratt - "Ouch (Demons Never Die Mix)" | Music Video

Premiered by MistaJam on BBC 1Xtra just a couple of weeks ago, the powerful visuals to Dionne Bromfields and Mz Bratt's collaboration just hit the interwebs. The track is the leading single for the new British horror flick 'Demons Never Die,' which is directed by Arjun Rose and produced by Idris Elba. The movie will also star the likes of Tulisa from Ndubz, Reggie Yates and Robert Sheehan who is currently best known as Nathan from Misfits. The official soundtrack is also set to feature tracks from the likes of Jessie J, Devlin, Ellie Goulding and Rizzle Kicks. #TeamUK #TeamTalent

The single is set to be released October 17th, while the film will follow shortly after with its October 28th release date.


MOBO Awards 2011 Nominations: Jessie J, Adele, Wretch 32 and Tinie Tempah lead the way


The nominations have been announced for the 16th annual MOBO Awards, with the ceremony taking place in Glasgow, Scotland this year on October 5; co-hosted by Jason Derulo and featuring a special performance from Boyz II Men, plus Jessie J, Katy B and Alexis Jordan among others.

Celebrating another year of 'music of black origin' and many of our recent homegrown success stories, this year's nominees include a mixture of expected, near-household names and a host of quickly established newcomers; so-called "Team UK" has had one heck of a year and this year's nominations list really reflects that.

Of course there's the obligatory International Act category but for once, it's truly our own stars taking up the spotlight this year; Jessie J and Adele lead the pack with five and four nominations each respectively, whilst Wretch 32 and Tinie Tempah also nab four each; with all four of them going head-to-head against Chase & Status, Chipmunk, Example, Katy B, N-Dubz and The Streets in a bid to be crowned Best UK Act.

As with all awards shows, there's always some dispute about who's been missed off the list; or dubiously slipped onto it. This year's shocker was saved 'til last, with newcomer Mike Hough up for Best UK R&B/Soul Act - alongside Adele, Dionne Bromfield, Marsha Ambrosius and Omar - armed with his voice and some impressive cover versions without so much as an album to his name. Never underestimate the power of YouTube....

Urban Music Awards 2011: And The Nominees Are...


An award show nominated and voted for by music fans first hosted in 2003, the 9th annual Urban Music Awards (UMAs) will take place this year on September 14 sponsored by Corona Extra [venue TBA].

North London lyricist Wretch 32 stands strong with six nominations across the categories for Artist Of The Year, Best Single, Best Music Video, Best Collaboration [for "Unorthodox"] Best Hip Hop Act and Best Male Artist, followed by Chipmunk with five, whilst Example is up for four awards in addition to the three he shares with Wretch for their aforementioned collaboration.

Devlin, Dappy, Tinie Tempah, Professor Green and Nicki Minaj also get a look in on the emcee front, whereas on the soulful/R&B side of things Beverley Knight, Adele, Emeli Sande, Aloe Blacc, Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, Joss Stone, Dionne Bromfield, Ed Sheeran and Maverick Sabre are all in the mix along with Loick Essien and Yasmin, with Jessie J scoring four nominations and Katy B up for Best Female Artist, Artist Of The Year and Best Album for her On A Mission debut.

The UMA’s 2011 will be syndicated for broadcast in over seven countries across Europe, followed by the launch of the UMA 2011 compilation album featuring a mix of talent from Europe. Open to "music fans who have nominated for all the categories," registered voting is currently live until September 10 at www.urbanmusicawards.net.

Dionne Bromfield speaks on Amy Winehouse’s death [Video]

Dionne Bromfield, the god daughter of the late Amy Winehouse has for the first time openly discussed the tragic passing of Amy on DJ Scott Mills' show on BBC’s Radio 1.

Amy’s last public appearance was with Dionne at the 2011 ITunes Festival a week before her passing, and in this interview Dionne speaks candidly on a range of topics surrounding Amy's passing including where she was when she found out the news, her dedication to Amy at the Big Chill Festival over the weekend, how although its been two weeks her death hasn't sunk in.

Opening with her previous single "Yeah Right," which features Diggy Simmons, Good For The Soul is due for release on July 4th through friend and mentor Amy Winehouse's label Lioness Records.
