SHIRT. - "Who Shot Ya?" | New Music

SHIRTWHOSHOTYA

Kendrick Lamar's Control got more answers than it ever asked. From Lupe Fiasco to the kid down the street, Kendrick had plenty of answers. The smog looks to of finally cleared today as Kendrick addressed his feelings over at Hot 97 but before we call it a day, New York’s own SHIRT shares his views.

'You may be a star, but we don’t see stars in New York, n*gga, it’s too much smog.'

A Control Replies compilation could shape up quite nicely. Here's the would-be track one down below.

Kendrick Lamar speaks on "Control" verse, the responses and misconceptions in detail

kendrick lamar

After firing the shot that was heard around the world aka the infamous "Control" verse, Kendrick Lamar has finally broken his silence on the impactful record.

In a preview of an interview that will be aired tomorrow on Big Boy's Neighborhood, Lamar breaks down the controversial line that had East Coast rappers up in arms: "I'm the king of New York." "The irony of that line is, for the people who actually understood it and got it, was the actual kings of NY, who's been down with me the past week, and them understanding it's not about being the king of whatever coast," said the West Coast spitter. "It's about leaving my mark as great as Biggie, as great as 'Pac."

The full interview will be released tomorrow morning on Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood. There will also be another interview with Kendrick Lamar hitting the New York airwaves tomorrow morning on Hot 97.

Listen to the snippet below.

SIDENOTE: Rewind a few nights ago when K. Dot was in NY for the VMAs, Angela Yee caught up with the lyrical rapper on the red carpet. Kendrick ain't worried about nothin'.

Uncle Murda - "The Response" (Kendrick Lamar Diss) | New Music

Uncle-Murda
Everyone from Joe Budden to Papoose and Cassidy have all fired shots at Kendrick Lamar over his earth shattering guest verse on Big Sean's "Control (HOF)" track (guessing everyone has all but forgotten Jay Electronica's bars). Now, Hip-Hop can add Uncle Murda to the list of uninspired retort with "The Response."

For the duration of the 2:27 minute track,  the Brooklynite also finds time to send disses toward Dr. Dre and Fabolous. Then again, this is the same MC who lent a guest verse to Ray J's "Hit it First" remix.

Listen to "The Response" below.

Papoose fires shots at Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Drake and others on his “Control (Freestyle)”

Papoose
The responses to Kendrick Lamar's verse on Big Sean's "Control (HOF)" keep coming and today Papoose throws his entry into the forever growing sea of responses including those from Lupe Fiasco, B.o.B., Joell Ortiz and others.

After thanking Lamar for allowing him to perform during his set at the most recent Hot 97 Summer Jam, the Brooklyn hailing rapper then proceeds to fire shots at K.Dot, the TDE team, Big Sean and even Kanye West, Drake and others. Press play below...

Listen To: Papoose - "Control (Freestyle)

Papoose definitely got some good jabs in (although I feel he took things a bit too far and personal), but I think he and many others don't seem to understand what exactly Kendrick Lamar was saying on that verse and taking certain things literally. But that's just my opinion, let us know what you think in the C-Section

B.o.B responds to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse with "How 2 Rap" | New Music

B.o.B

And the second response to Kendrick Lamar's verse on Big Sean's "Control" rolls in.

B.o.B kicks off "How 2 Rap" with a Kendrick Lamar-sounding rap voice then transitions into a longer verse where he ends it with a "ain't no rappers on my list. Come holla at me when y'all done riding each others dick. 25 million singles worldwide, I guess I'll take another hit. Matter of fact, I find this rap sh*t boring, give me my guitar pick, I'll show you sh*t." Then, B.o.B hits the listeners with a guitar solo.

He just wanted to know that he's a triple threat, right? Rap, pop and rock B.o.B.'s third studio album, Underground Luxury, will be released later this year.

Brotherly love never sounded so good. British duo and dubstep influenced siblings, Guy and Howard Lawrence - creatively known as Disclosure - have released another track from their EP, The Face.

Featuring the lilting vocals of Ria Ritchie, "Control" is a giddy, rhythmic joy of a track, infusing a soulful tone within a sumptuously sonic sound that bubbles over with a funky groove, only to break into a bass heavy dub-sampling routine, encouraging nothing but dancing. Read more
