J. Cole to unveil "Sideline Story" music video on April 11th | Music News

J.Cole's debut album will be receiving more accompanying footage. The rapper's "Sideline Story" cut will be translated to a music video which will premiere on Jay-Z's Life + Times website on Wednesday April 11th. The clip is directed by Axel Laramée, who also shot the footage for the "Daddy's Little Girl" video. This upcoming video will serve as the eight set of visuals from J.Cole's Cole World: The Sideline Story album (read our review HERE).

J. Cole talks about Kanye West, radio and a new formula [Video]

Karmaloop TV recently caught up with J. Cole and spoke to him about a few bits following up to his number one Billboard chart album, Cole World: The Sideline Story. They quizzed Cole on how he felt about those who compared his entry into the game and early success to Kanye West's ascension, to which he said he was a huge fan of Kanye, also speaking on the fact that some radio territories haven't yet caught up to the successful amount of groundwork he has put in and not having a smash hit record to lead the album with. He expands on this further, saying he has changed the formula of what success means and has possibly paved the way for artists like Kendrick Lamar and Big K.R.I.T. - check the interview below.

Cole unveils the video for "Lost Ones"; a stellar, emotional song dealing with the issues surrounding abortion from both sides of the fence, taken from the North Carolina rap star's chart-topping debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. Definitely an album highlight as Roc Nation's first signee shows why he's the people's champ. Filmed in 2008 before his record deal was even in sight, this one is "Dedicated to the Lost Ones."
