What we gon' do right here is go back.. to last week's top stories! Live music reigned supreme with Glastonbury festival, the BET awards and Alicia Keys live concert streamed for your viewing pleasure. New music from Jesse Boykins III, videos from Drake, Lupe Fiasco and Trey Songz, verbal shots between OG Niki and No Lay, and new music from Common featuring Nas and Kendrick Lamar.

Lloyd fans eagerly awaiting his album continued to check back on our post about his upcoming album King Of Hearts being pushed back from its initial expected release date in March to April of this year. Don't worry though, it's due for release on July 5 so we dropped a previously unreleased track called "Nasty" to quench the thirst.

We've also linked up with Jesse Boykins III and co to bring you the Way Of A Wayfarer EP out now, and proudly presented you with the first look at the EP artwork and featured track "Back Home (Mermaids & Dragons),” produced by Gold Panda.

Last week was a big one for live music with Glastonbury over here and the BET awards across the water; videos highlights include Beyonce's full Glastonbury set and Coldplay performing “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”.

The annual BET awards was a day later: watch back this year's pre-show performances including Swizz Beats and Eve and Diggy Simmons, and from main event with Mary J Blige and Chris Brown.

To mark the 10th anniversary celebrations of Alicia Keys debut album Songs in A Minor we streamed her "Piano & I: A One Night Only Event With Alicia Keys” concert from New York City’s Beacon Theater. You know we got you, so if you missed it you can watch the full concert here.

The official video for Lupe Fiasco's latest single from his album Lasers dropped for "Out Of My Head" featuring Trey Songz. It's a banger, but if you still haven't copped yours and you're undecided, read our review for Lupe's album here.

Next to "Novacane", the second most covered song this year "Marvin's Room" got its official visuals - not Drake's usual slick production but it definitely works. Catch the fan made video here and see how you think it measures up.

Kevin Liles Says Trey Songz’ BET Tribute Was Prince Approved | SoulCulture TV

SoulCulture TV caught up with former Executive Vice President of Warner Music Group Kevin Liles in Paris last week.

In the first snippet of our interview, the former President of Def Jam - and Trey Songz' current manager - talks about how Trey Songz' mini tribute to Prince at the BET Awards came about, in which "Yo Side Of The Bed" morphed into "Purple Rain" in the artist's honour.

"The song was inspired by Prince," he reveals, "so it's funny that on the actual show were doing a tribute to Prince but Trey, because he was already performing, wasn't a part of the tribute - but we put him right before the tribute."

Tyrese Tribute to Teddy Pendergrass on BET Awards 2010

It was a night of tributes on the BET Awards 2010. Tyrese, who is set to Teddy Pendergrass in a biopic, channeled the soul icon who passed earlier this year by singing a medley of Pendergrass' hits while "professional pantie-throwers" in the audience chucked bras and panties up on stage.

Prince was the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards. Another stand-out moment in the night, with a VT introduced by Stevie Wonder, an electrifying tribute performance by Janelle Monae who sung "Let's Go Crazy", Esperanza Spalding with "If I Was Your Girlfriend" , a pregnant Alicia Keys who rocked out atop her grande piano and Patti Labelle, who threw her Christian Louboutin shoe at Prince whilst "Purple Rain" to him before she and Chaka Khan welcomed him to the stage.  An overwhelmed Prince gracefully thanked his peers and audience while saying "The future's in your hands now - the world is really yours."

Trey Songz On The Secrets Of His Success | SoulCulture TV

“The day that I don’t have my game face on is the day I might lose. That’s a part of the focus – that’s a part of knowing what you signed up for. I know what I want from this and I know what it takes to get there. Hard work ain’t never scared me.”

A considerably bigger global star now than when we last spoke to him a year ago, Trey Songz catches up with SoulCulture in London about some of the secrets to his success: such as keeping his fans constantly satisfied with mixtapes, his wide use of social networking and, on manager Kevin Liles’ advice, continuing to “act like it’s 2005 – act like I Just Gotta Make It” – when many would say he already has.

Chris Brown's Emotional Michael Jackson Tribute | BET Awards Highlight

One of last night's most talked about performances is, and will continue to be Chris Brown's Michael Jackson tribute. Brown, who virtually faced a media block-out from outlets such as BET in the last year following the Rihanna incident, made his comeback to the stage in an emotional tribute to MJ. Channeling the King of Pop through a medley of dance routines, Brown was meant to close the tribute with a rendition of "Man In The Mirror" (particularly poignant in lieu of his recent problems). Caught in emotional he was unable to sing and broke down on stage to rapturous applause.

Chris Brown also won the Fandemonium BET Award last night, much to his surprise. The stunned R&B singer said, "I let y'all down before but I won't do it again, I promise."
