Yasiin Bey (FKA Mos Def) debuts “Forever Alive” + “Sexy Sax Man” in Paris [Video]

Yasiin Bey‘s appearance on French radio station, Radio Nova, is harvesting quite the crop of new material. Following his live performance of “N****s In Poorest” (his cover of The Throne‘s “N****s In Paris” hit) and the J Dilla-produced “Sunshine Screwface”, yet more footage arrives from that same appearance as Yasiin (who we’ll always know as Mos Def) debuted two further songs in “Forever Alive” and “Sexy Sax Man”.

“Forever Alive” is produced by Calfornian beatsmith and Stones Throw Records stalwart Oh No, while “Sexy Sax Man”‘s credits are yet to be revealed, but the destination of both tracks are unclear. In fact, a lot of what Yasiin is doing lately is unclear.

Having hinted at the return of Black Star (his celebrated partnership with Talib Kweli) by releasing “Fix Up” and “You Already Knew” some months ago, that venture seems to have taken a sudden vow of silence following the short-lived resurgence. The rapper-actor is also keeping schtum about any future solo plans, so I guess it’s a waiting game for all of us.

Nonetheless, that shouldn’t stop you from catching the new previews below.
