Xzibit announces ‘Napalm’ album release date, unveils album trailer | Music News

Xzibit is plotting his comeback. After unveiling the tracklist for his upcoming seventh album, Napalm – his first since 2006’s Full Circle – the once-popular West Coast rapper has scheduled his new LP with an October 9th release date, and presents a military-inspired visual trailer to coincide with the announcement.

“If you know Hip-Hop, you’re going to love and appreciate ‘Napalm.’ The tone of the album is a testament to what I’ve been through in the last six years. I’m ready to kick some ass!” says X in a press release.

As you can see in the clip below, Xzibit has spent an extended period of time in the Middle East in the company of the U.S. Military. The rapper will release a bi-weekly, four-part series documenting his travels to Iraq, and the inspiration behind the chosen title, Napalm.

The trailer serves as part one in this series. Press play below, and stay tuned for the arrival of the album, which will feature appearance from Wiz Khalifa, Game, Prodigy, E-40, David Banner and more.
