Wiz Khalifa on his MTV VMAs Best New Artist Nomination [Video]

Its been an incredible 12 months for Taylor Gang capo Wiz Khalifa. After his huge runaway hit “Black & Yellow” took the international music charts by storm, achieving US multi platinum status, he then released his highly anticipated third solo album Rolling Papers, which debuted in at number two on the US Billboard album charts selling 197,000 copies in its first week. going on to achieve US Gold status in June, three months after its release. Soon after Rolling Papers dropped the Pittsburgh bred emcee took to the road on yet another sold out US headline tour which lead to his first European (sold out) headline tour.

Amongst these achievements and many others, Young Wiz (after six years of grinding) received his first ever MTV VMA (Video Music Award) nomination for Best New Artist. At the Radio promo forum for the VMAs Wiz sat down with the lovely Miss Info and discussed his nomination along side “new” artists such as Kreayshawn and finally being accepted in the music industry amongst more established artists.
