Wingate f/ Rochelle Jordan – ‘Just For The Night’ | New Music

When you think of Hip-Hop music from the West Coast, your mind typically runs to artists like Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy, and Ab-Soul, just to name a few, but never would your thoughts run to Portland.

Well, Wingate hopes to change that.

Wingate has been hustling for years, making a name for himself with projects like last year’s Mixed Thoughts EP, collaborative tracks with Mat Randol and appearances on Neu Beginin & Protostar Entertainment’s Talentine series, a pair of Valentine’s Day compilations featuring various artists.

The Oregonian emcee is set to release his upcoming project All Too Well this August, and “Just For the Night” is one of the first leaks from the album.

Produced by Reverie, “Just For the Night” features Canadian vocalist Rochelle Jordan, who created waves last year with her cover of “Marvin’s Room” from Drake‘s platinum album Take Care.

“Just For the Night” speaks essentially about a one-night stand and the two people involved knowing exactly what they are getting into. The song makes for a relatable summer tune as the lyrics will surely resonate with a lot of people.
