Willie The Kid – The Cure 2 (Mixtape) | Free Download

The Midwest emcee Willie The Kid is back with the second installment of his The Cure mixtape series, featuring production from some of Hip Hop’s highly respected beatsmiths such as Don Cannon, who put together the tape’s haunting lead track “The Money The Love…The Glory”  [Listen to below], The ALC a.k.a Alchemist who produced “Waste Not. Want Not,” frequent collaborator Lee Bannon (who produced the entire Never A Dull Moment EP), the UK’s very own Beat Butcha on the stellar “Reign Supreme” [Listen to below] and a few up and coming producers such as 2009 Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle Champion Frank Dukes.

In terms of collaborations, Willie hires the services of veteran West Coast emcee Krondon of Strong Arm Steady and brings through with his Embassy home team members S-Class Sonny, Big Joe and A1 for some air time. Staying true to the original format of a mixtape WTK jacks for a few beats on the tape, with one of the best jack moves being “Peach Ciroc Dart,” an instrumental originally used and produced by fellow Michigan rhymer Black Milk, off his 2007 debut set, Popular Demand.
