Whitney Houston becomes first woman with 3 albums simultaneously in Billboard Top10 | Music News

The late Whitney Houston, was easily the voice of our generation.  Her voice inspired some of our favorite artists to get into music, such as Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera.

Just a few weeks after Houston’s passing, the icon has become the first woman to place three albums in the Top 10 of The Billboard 200 chart at the same time.

Whitney: The Greatest Hits holds number two, The Bodyguard soundtrack leaps to the six spot 172% in sales, and my personal favorite Whitney Houston holds ninth’s position with a 72% sales increase, according to Billboard.

In addition to her albums ranking highly, her singles are also dominating the chart as well – she’s also found at No. 16 (“I Look to You”), No. 30 (“My Love Is Your Love”), No. 39 (“I’m Your Baby Tonight”), No. 105 (“The Preacher’s Wife”), No. 126 (“Just Whitney”), No. 133 (“Whitney”), with one more title is at No. 73; a 3-cd bundle of “Baby,” “My Love” and “Just Whitney.”

In other Whitney Houston news, there are unconfirmed rumours floating that her last film, the remake of the classic film Sparkle, will be coming out earlier than it’s August release date. Stay posted for details.
