Usher kicks off Today Show’s Summer Concert Series w/ ‘Climax’ + ‘OMG’ [Video]

Longtime R&B mainstay and multiple Grammy winner Usher was up extremely early this morning to help NBC’s Today show ummm… “usher” in their annual Summer Concert Series on New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza.

Usher plays lead-off man to a high-profile list of performers slated to rock the plaza for series’ 2012 edition, including Chris Brown, Flo-Rida, Justin Beiber, Maroon 5 and more.

The singer is also gearing up for the June 12 release of his seventh album, Looking 4 Myself, which he says is a collection of experiences gathered over the last few years.

“The last two, three years of my life have been an incredible journey musically and emotionally,” he explained to Today host Matt Lauer, “so all of the findings of looking for myself went into this album.”
