Timbaland - Revolt TV

In a recent sit-down with Revolt TV, super producer Timbaland shared some insight on Chris Brown and Drake‘s recent attempts at including late R&B singer Aaliyah in their music.

“In music, people always say, ‘I’m gonna do a song with Aaliyah.’ It would never work,” Timbaland asserts. “Chris Brown got a record. It won’t work. Drake can go do a record. It ain’t gonna work. Aaliyah’s music only works with its soulmate, which is me.”

Although Timbo is not accordance with a Drake and Aaliyah single, he did, however, praise Drake on his talent and told friend and colleague JAY Z, “we have to embrace this young guy” to add to the “blood line.” He also gave another artist props to in the interview; Nas.

“I told Jay this, I said, ‘the person who gets me from hip-hop now, their album’s gonna be phenomenal and that’s Nas.’ Nas got a song right now with him, Jay and Justin and it’s completely stupid. It’s called ‘Sinatra in the Sands,’ and Justin sounds like Frank Sinatra… Thank y’all, This is it.”
