Third Res Album On The Way, Titled ‘Reset’ | Music News

Following the frustrated free release of sophomore album Black. Girls. Rock! after years of waiting for release from Geffen, soulful rock singer-songwriter Res is back in the studio working on her third album, titled Reset.

The new album is reportedly being produced by Doc aka Martin McKinney, who also produced her superb debut album How I Do in 2001.

“It feels great to get in a familiar groove with such a talented producer. We have a chemistry that can not be denied and you all will hear,” comments the singer, who is also a member of musical trio Idle Warship with Talib Kweli and Graph Nobel.

She says, “I have felt your support throughout the years and I want you all to continue to spread the word about this new album called RESET! Let the WORLD know we are Back In Business!”

That’s pretty exciting news. Black.Girls.Rock! was excellent but I’m particularly fanatical about Res’ first album – and its opening single, “Golden Boys” [below] – so if Reset continues in the vein of her previous genre-skipping anthems, you can count me in.

Stay posted for further news on Res’ new album.
