The xx band member and producer Jamie Smith has reworked every track on the legendary Gil Scott-Heron‘s 2010 release I’m New Here in a project entitled We’re New Here.

“NY Is Killing Me” serves as the lead track – an amazing marriage of a harrowing dubstep baseline, eerie high pitched sound effects and Gil Scott Heron’s gritty, soulful tone.
