Talib Kweli talks learning from Wiz Khalifa, MF Doom, Soulja Boy & Gucci Mane (Video)

With new album Gutter Rainbows due for release next month [January 25th], Talib Kweli recently held a listening session and, in addition to previewing the album, the Brooklyn emcee also spoke on his recent G.O.O.D. Friday feature, ‘Chain Heavy,’ and his admiration for Kanye West’s latest album, My Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Captured in the videos below, he also asserts his faith in today’s plethora of good music to be found it you can be bothered to look for it [“..and if I can’t find it – I’ll just make the shit”], noting the [perhaps surprising] recent influence rappers Wiz Khalifa, MF Doom, Soulja Boy and Gucci Mane have had on his career.
