T-Pain clarifies label situation, discusses auto-tune & new album on 106 & Park [Video]

So who is T-Pain signed to? According to his recent interview on 106 & Park, the rapper/singer isn’t singing to the Young Money label and is sticking to Akon’s Konvict Muzik – yet it was only a couple months ago that Akon stated that the Florida hailing artist would be leaving his label after one more album. With the recent release of his new rEVOLVEr, the decision has taken a spin on it’s head. T-Pain drops by 106 & Park to explain the whole fiasco.

“I’m on Konvict Music, Nappy Boy, RCA,” he clarifies. “I was gonna sign to Young Money but I think I’m a bit of a nuisance for that label – I don’t wanna mess nothing up in the mix – but I’m blessed to be in the place that I am.”

As well as discussing his new album and the multi-personality band concept behind its artwork, T-Pain also states that he never uses Auto-Tune in his shows, to the surprise of many. Watch the interview in full below, in two-parts.
