T.I. speaks on new single, jail stint, family life, business plans & Atlanta’s Hip Hop scene [Video]

Yes ladies, gentlemen and haters alike, “The Kang” [no typo] a.k.a T.I. is out. After serving an 11 month prison sentence, for violating his probation, testing positive for opiates and associating with a convicted felon as well as drug charges, Tip was released from jail on August 31 only to be sent back less than 48 hours later due to an alleged dispute involving the rapper taking his tour bus from his prison in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta where he was due to serve out the rest of his sentence. On September 29 the emcee born Clifford Harris was finally released. Wasting no time, The Kang visited the V-103 radio studios in Atlanta for his first post-jail-post-half-way-house-post-jail interview with Ryan Cameron and Elle Duncan.

Accompanied by his son Major, Tip spoke on a range of different topics including his time in jail, going back to “old T.I.” and the difficulties it may involve, his new single “I’m Flexin’” produced by and featuring Big K.R.I.T., being a family man, his forthcoming business ventures, wanting to live his life the way he wants to, the dispute which lead to him being sent back to jail, his displeasure with the current Hip Hop scene in Atlanta and jugging between two album titles for his next solo project. Check out the interview below.
