SuaveHaus f/ Truth – ‘Airborne’ (Prod. Introspective Minds) | New Music

Regional identity is a big thing in hip-hop. While artists have always kept things local (see: any collaboration out of Atlanta) and often called in favours from across the Interstate (see: any collaboration out of New York in the late ’00s), SuaveHaus is a rare connection between the perpetual hotbed of Atlanta and the newly thriving Boston scene.

Comprised of ATLiens Abib Jahleel and J-Coop and Beantown’s Charmingly Ghetto (who you may recognise from the Study A’broad mixtape), the newly-established trio (albeit J-Coop’s absence on this particular cut) present the first in the line of many tracks with “Airborne”, featuring SuaveHaus affiliate Truth and produced by beatmsith on-the-come-up Introspective Minds.

With a soft boom bap loop and festering drums forming the backdrop, anchored by a rich piano sequence, the amalgamation of Jahleel’s Southern-twanged vocals, Truth’s calming contribution and CG’s traditional and impassioned emcee’s flow should hit the chord just right for any hip-hop-reared ear.

Stream “Airborne” below and stay tuned for a self-titled collaborative EP from SuaveHaus due out next month.
