Snapshot: Waka Flocka covers SPIN’s first-ever ‘Loud Issue’

Bottoms up. A-Town’s dread-shaking riot inciter Waka Flocka Flame has been given the honor of covering SPIN magazine’s inaugural Loud Issue, which is dedicated to “all things enjoyably and compellingly disruptive.”

“The 25-year-old Atlanta rapper is the couldn’t-be-more-perfect face of our first-ever Loud Issue,” the magazine said in a statement. “Not just because of his blaring dreadlocks or booming sonics or growled hooks, but — as writer Julianne Escobedo Shepherd discovers during a whirlwind international adventure — he’s a character at a moment when that quality seems at a premium.”

And, as if turning the cover on its head weren’t enough, the powers-that-be at SPIN also found out the definition of “all hell breaks loose” when they (jokingly) let the MC run the magazine for a little while. Mental note: NEVER touch Waka Flocka’s hummus without permission. You might end up wearing it.

SPIN’s Loud Issue hits stands May 1st.
