Janelle monae the electric lady album cover

With it’s release date drawing closer, we finally get to see the official cover and tracklisting for Janelle Monáe‘s forthcoming album, The Electric Lady.

Ms. Monáe looks fierce dressed in silver and adorned with futuristic embellishments. Did you see the spikes on her knuckle ring? Killer, indeed. The cover, which gives a nod to album artwork from the ’80s, also shares a vintage color scheme as many of the covers it was inspired from. Along with the revelation of her album, fans are treated to the track list of the double disc album. Esperanza Spalding, Miguel, Erykah Badu, Solange and the album’s most anticipated feature, Prince, all make an appearance on Suite IV and V. Check out the tracklist for all 20 songs, below, and stay tuned for The Electric Lady making its way to stores and online retailers on September 10. Click here to pre-order on iTunes.
