Skepta – “Hold On” [Radio Rip] | New Music

Back in July we reported that Universal Music’s Interscope Records boss Jimmy Iovine had Grime Titan Skepta’s then new track “Dare To Dream” removed from Youtube as he had purchased the song for Hip Hop superstar Eminem, from the song’s producers. Skepta – who is signed to All Around The World Records, a Universal Music distributed label – took to his Twitter page and stated “Jimmy Iovine Interscope heard my new single ‘Dare To Dream’ and decided he wanted to sign it for Eminem hence Universal taking it off YouTube… I overly love the song but at the same time I do understand Eminem together with the ‘Dare To Dream’ chorus will be absolutely f*%king CRAZY.”

After the disappointment, the Boy Better Know capo retreated back to the lab to re-up and recorded new material for his first single and forthcoming album. Below is a radio rip of Skepta’s re-upped first single “Hold On”, that DJ Target debuted yesterday on his BBC 1Xtra Radio show.
