Shyne – “You’re Welcome” (Diddy Diss) | New Music

It’s no secret that rapper Shyne and his former Bad Boy boss Diddy have history. There was bad blood left between the pair when Shyne went down for 10 years in 1999 on assault and gun possession charges, while Puff was acquitted of all charges, leading to some questioning his loyalty to his artist. If you read his statement issued to XXL earlier this year, you’d have good reason to believe the pair had reonconciled. Apparently not.

Speaking to Miss Info by phone from Paris, Shyne said he looks to reopen that can of worms with Diddy. The rapper feels that his ex-boss hasn’t delivered on his promise of helping him to get back to the U.S. since his release in 2009.

“Homeboy did me dirty, he knows that, he apologized,” he told. “He’s said he’s gonna spend the rest of his life helping me get my life back… so how you don’t help your man come back to America?!”

He also says he’s been rubbed the wrong way by the fact that Diddy hasn’t financially helped the mother of the late Anthony “Wolf” Jones, who was a Bad Boy bodyguard and close friend of the label, yet can spend frivolously on his girlfriend, Cassie.

“Don’t give me any money, I don’t need it. But take care of Ms. Jones. [Diddy] gave her $10k when I started talking to him, but that was it. But while we were in Paris, he spent half a million on his chick, Cassie… If it weren’t for Wolf, if it weren’t for me, things would be very different. There would be no Ciroc deal, he wouldn’t be worth close to a billion,” he vented.

Shyne has made the dispute wax-official, by releasing a Diddy diss track sarcastically entitled “You’re Welcome”. You can listen to it below.
