Santigold – “Proud Mary” (Creedence Clearwater Revival cover) | New Music

During her recent trip to the UK, singer-songwriter Santigold stopped by the Maida Vale studios to record a session for BBC Radio 1. One of the songs from her live session was a cover of American rock band Creedance Clearwater Revival‘s 1969 hit, famously sung by Tina Turner “Proud Mary.”

Premiered by show host Zane Lowe, Santigold’s rendition is a unique, robotic, reggae version of the track – check out the radio rip below, courtesy of NJU.

Santigold’s album Master Of My Make-Believe drops in the US on May 1st, but British fans can purchase it now on iTunes. Stream it before you buy here.
