Saigon addresses Rick Ross issues live from tour [Video]

Saigon is not one to mince his words, even if his knack for speaking his mind may put him at odds with a few of his peers…

Over the years, Sai has gone toe to toe with the likes of Joe Budden and Royce da 5’9″. There was also his infamous beef with Prodigy of Mobb Deep, which sparked an online sensation as footage of a violent confrontation between the two diminutive rappers was circulated around the blogosphere, blazing its way across the internet like wildfire.

Known to speak his mind, Sai’s interviews are often entertaining, if not interesting, as the rapper holds no bars, rifling off and riffing on the state of Black America, Hip Hop politics and race issues. The Brooklyn rapper has a healthy record of engrossing SOHH interviews, having covered an array of interesting and contentious topics with the website.

Hot on the heels of the Pusha T/YMCMB/Young Chop tiff, Saigon’s opinionated views on Rick Ross and the current state of Rap has stirred rumblings of a brand new feud. Criticising MMG’s head honcho, Sai said: “Why ya’ll supportin’ a n***a that promotes the destruction of our community? Why are you doin’ that? Why would you let this n***a thrive and we don’t know where our next jobs are coming from?

“He’s rapping about selling kilos of cocaine and selling drugs. This is what he’s about, this whole lifestyle saying he’s so rich and he eats shrimp every night, and ya’ll support this shit?”

Taking the opportunity to go into further detail, the Suburban Noize rapper has decided to release a short video addressing his statements.
