Sade’s brand new single – “Soldier Of Love” [Listen Here]
BUGGIN’ OUT.
The first new single from Sade in almost a decade!
What are you waiting for?! Press play B*tches!
[audio:http://soulculture.com/01 Soldier Of Love.mp3]Moody, vibesome (my new non-existing favourite word) and darkly rejuvinating – Sade has just tipped me over the edge with anticipation of her forthcoming 2010 album, Soldier Of Love (out February 8th, 2010). Judging by this first single, she is about to ‘do a Maxwell’ and flip the f***ing script. (But even more so – and universally). I hope the rumours of them working together are true… but either way, this album release will clearly be an event.
And with those killer drums I’m voting Nas for the remix…
Can you wait for the new project? Other than the fact that you have to… (Sidenote: you can pre-order the album from sade.com)
Major (and naughty) props to YK2Daily for this one.

As soon as I heard this song I was totally captured. It’s saying so many deep things besides the words she’s singing. My girl Sade, she is one of the few timeless, classy and classic quiet storms of true beauty this world has ever seen. I have never idolized anyone but this woman has something I’d like to imumlate and that is a quiet strength. She is AWESOME!!

stepper,s put your shoes on….let,s do this…
Great use or metaphor as always my girl is on point….Hit me like a slow bullet….love is a gun…now a soldier of love on the battlefield of love. This song allows us passage into the dark corridors of her pain, lost love, scars, wounds, even HOPE, and bleeding in the quest for for love. Limping in and out of battle, keeping the faith to love, will to try again, BAM, then another bullet—still waiting for love to come…The vibe music vibe makes me look at her like RAMBO, taking all the hits in the name of love and some, well not in the name of love, face painted and going into battle.
What ever happen to the days of hopeless romanticm? Love is a battle, the wild wild west…in the front line of this battle of mine….soldier of love…I’ve been torn up inside…left behind….doing my best to stay alive!
Cheers,
utjr
What a beautiful end of 2009, and a most happy and greater year 2010!
Sade is back!
sade are the best,we love u..
OMG….SADE IS BACK….THIS IS HOT…THOSES DRUMS, THAT VOICE
Sade will always and forever be beautiful through her music! I am so happy that she is back! and I as well hope her and Maxwell get together for real.
This is a Fresh track, tuned to the times & innovative, at the same time I would have scaled back the kick drum and snare so as not to compete with her vocals, less kick & snare more bass, however i still like the track, what might be interesting is to release this track as is, and do another track with the same vocal style with all organic instruments, say a “Soldier of love”(revisited) the way jimi hendrix did with “voodoo love” also nice intro, the trumpit was very suave’ Anyway it’s nice to have her majesty Sade on the scene once again, & i’ll surely be adding her next release to my collection, keep the kisses coming Sade, ’till that time, Peace & Power.
very creative. it took some time to adjust. but the words are very meaningful. very creative and insightful. give us more please
apropo piate– such a tasty, timely dish*
I love that Sade never over exposes herself like most other musicians and always takes a break and comes back with another good album! That’s one reason why she will stand the test of time and always be there…
hey sade is bumpin i just wish to meet her one day
hi guys its sooo great being here with y’all. so do ya like my album this is just talking about being strong and indpendent
This is the best thing thats happened all year…..
Sade is amazing. Her beats are so sexy and the song you can just sit with the base up and vibe too. I am a true fan. I have seen her in concert and it was all of that and some!!!! I hope she goes on tour.
I am Sade’s #1 fan , I know all of her songs by heart,I can’t wait to hear more!!!
THE EARTH WITHOUT SADE IS LIKE THE SKY WITHOUT THE STARS
She is my favorite, always put the right flavor in lyrics and Music!!!
does sound alot like traditional sade but her voice is always amazing and her albums are always an exploration of self of gain and loss pain and pleasure she’s awesome!
very nice …sade is back..queen my soul…
soldier of love….i love it
All I can say is WOW!!!!! The beat is awesome.
terribly disappointed Sade and her likes Ms Houston included all need to remain in the previous millenium….soldier of love lacks creativity and innovation….really nothing new from her
mix tape junkie has no ears. this is probably the most innovative track sade has ever done
I`m a A&R Person,And when I here a Musical Bom,this is It, 2010 Is Ready For SADE,”SOLDIER OF LOVE” Keep The Love alive Sade,
Personally, it took me good few times to listen and grasp the depth of it properly… Soldier Of Love’s main rhythm and foundation reminds me very much of another fantastic musician : Mich Gerber and a song by him called: Shamal (Tales of the wind) album.
This song is well done and I am sure an artist in her caliber is capable of producing even more powerful songs… I adore Sade and her band through out their fantastic career anyway… Anyone knows if she is still with her original band members! Best of Luck to her and her band.

Simply beautiful and with the complex melodic mix we’ve come to expect from Sade. Of course I am a biased fan of her music but I truly enjoyed this peek into the next album…I will be adding this to my complete Sade Collection.
Thank you Sade. You could not have come at a better time. I missed your music so much.
Sade comes with depth of soul, spirit, love, life, experience
and inspiration. She is more than a songstress. She is a dynamic, powerful and moving
energy force that you absorb into your system in the deepest part of your being.
It’s a spiritual connection!
I agree! Its more than music..its an experience!
Very nice!!! I love Sade and glad to see her back. She is not overexposed like many of the artists today. Love it. God girl. Welcome back!
BIG UPPS!!! TO ‘REAL DOWN TO MARS’ for being the catalyst portal for me to hear the first sounds of whats been brewing in my baby’s mind. Thanks to the yahoo Sade community for putting down the info too.
Much Much love to all the REAL REAL SADE fans. The ones that have felt her from the beginning. I love ya’ll and don’t even know you but still do.

This gifted songstress is but a reflection of sheer talent and she carries a graceful kiss through all of her music for fans of real music…Love it!
Long shall Sade reign supreme in my musical world.
Her music ages with me and continues to accompany me through life’s journey.
Has it really been 10 years?
I love this song and Sade you will forever rock.
Classic!! Sade is just classic!!
I love Sade! I’m anxious to hear the rest of the album.
Will wait 10 years between each album to hear Sade’s soulful sound!

Excellent song, always an adored artist – z song imo misses a few licks of fused violin/guitar/horns…as if only a dash of more garlic/onion, lol ~!~
The release will be LARGE, with all respect due.

Its been well worth the wait! She is always on point and like a good cook she doesn’t bring out stuff till its thoroughly done…Way more than I can say for the other 98.5% of the industry. I wish these younger ladies, calling themselves singers took notes and cues from her…
WOW!!! as beautiful as ever!!! a huge fan of SADE
i bow down to the goddess!!! i have awaited your return with open arms. thanks my dear, can’t wait to hear more of your divine voice:) abundance of blessings!!!
This song is a gift to me.. fabulusly Amazing!! As i prepare myself to run the 2o1o NYC Marathon.. this is the song that will make me accomplish that goal.. Thank you so much Sade,je tadore..!

She’s back at last…took too long… Sade for me the one an only queen of soul.
Yes! Something to refresh our thirsty palets!!!! All of this nonsense blairing across the airwaves keeping the deaf, dumb & blind-just that! Thank you my consecious sistah! Our 3 rd eye is open. Welcome back, we’ve been waiting……..
This song is dope! Looking forward to her new cd even more now that I heard this first track. I am also a fan of hip hop and like Nas, but I don’t want to hear him or any other rapper for that matter on her tracks remix or not.
Her music stands on it’s own without any added distractions cause she putting down a sound that no one else in music is doing at all. Love me some
Sade!
perfect timing for me..perfect lyrics…i love Sade, love Sade, Love Sade, however, wasn’t really feeling LOVERS ROCK as much of her older stuff, i knew she was in a transition, so she shut it down…this is different, she will work it..her stage presence is over the top, can’t wait to hear what’s next..hope she is just warming us up! Bless You Capricorn Sister!
After the 2nd Listen as it stands I fell in love with it just like that. HAD to adjust to the extra/new production adds on top of the instrumentaion by the Band. This is a Marching Band Influenced song and Beautifully done adding light on a rough subject. The concept is totally the Hotness*
They stuck to the concept throughout from every beat
SADE is #1 Queen Of Soul
Nice, very nice. Can’t wait to get a hold of the new album.
YES I…EMPRESS SADE!
LOVE DI TUNE…DI RACE IS NAH FI DI SWIFT BUT FI WHO CAN ENDURE!!!
GOOD OVER EVIL…RIGHT OVER WRONG…LOVE OVER HATE…LOVE SHALL PREVAIL…DIS LIONESS HAS PERSERVERED THRU DI TIMES…”SOULJAH FI LOVE”!!!
MORE ROYAL LOVE, STRENGTH & RASPEK!!!
JAH BLESS,
JAHFYAH
Love Sade and this is no exception
Fantastic. Loved Sade since Diamond Life & look forward to the new cd. Is this track available for download anywhere?
Like many I’m a HUGE SADE fan and I’ve been anticipating this album for sometime. I’ve listened to the song 3 times before writing these comments. I do believe the song is very appropriate for the times we are currently in. In a time of WAR and Intolerence, there is still time to LOVE. This song to me song better everytime I listen to it and like much of SADE’s music it grows on you. Nonetheless, this song song sounds like the introduction to the album, The Drum line kind of leads you into the songI doubt it is probably the best song and I think like many others the Remix will fine tune it. WAIT THIS JUST IN!! Please put a set of EAR PHONES when Listening to this song OMG! What a Difference! When the supporting vocals come in,that is the LICK!!!! then followed by SADE’s cries it sounds really good (haunting even)
-WELL DONE Everyone
We got a HIT!!
-Robert Daniels
AMAZING!! The Goddess is back, and we have missed her! I’m really feeling the hard-ass beats to go with the love-scarred,but still Soulful vocals. This woman is moving forward,I hope her old fans can open their minds enough to realize that she is trying a new sound. SADE is a true artist(that word is overused these days),but she has stuck to a formula for years,& now that she is going for something different, she deserves to be received w/welcoming hearts! Bravo, girl! We are waiting for the full-length cd! I’m sure she’ll have some live instruments on there for all the old fogeys who want her to sound like 1996. And some newer flavors for those who don’t need to put her in a stylistic box.Trust her judgment, folks. It’s her music.
I Love it
Real Soul Music
The titile of the track is devine aswell as her vocals
“Soldier Of Love”.
Im sure this album will be worth the wait
I am so happy that Sade is back and her voice sounds deep and beautiful but I tend to agree that this track is missing the “soul” that her past work has. I will pass final judgement when I hear the whole album. I’m not to worry about the “soul” thing because there will be remixes. I’m especially looking forward to Soulful and Deep House remixes from some of the less (and better) known House producers. People like Danny Kravitz, Jay-J, Miguel Migs, Jask, Louie Vega and so many others. That I am excited about.
Sade has never given permission to remix her music! It is all bootlegs! Not a bad thing, just a thought
Sade…that song is Butter …
Beautiful Soulful voice and words from Sade. What the “F” happened to the music. Sounds like a Lovers Rock leftover. Computerized way too much and lacking all Soul Sade’s music has sounded like up to Lovers Rock.
Did the band forget how to play music? It’s interesting to me that Stuart Matthewman can produce such beautiful soulful music today for Maxwell (which he did with Sade before Maxwell was ever recorded) yet now produces soul-less computerized music for Sade now.
I’m off to listen again to S.O.L. for the tenth time.
i feel your kind pain…you, of course, love it and it will never be past up on your ‘shuffle’ playlist…but you just wish that ‘they’ would go back to the fundamentals and the purity of all of that talent and honed skills.
i am just hoping that this was a teaser and that there will be more naturalistic instrumentations on other cuts of the album… i mean NO ONE out there seems to be successfully doing that anymore… except the Brazilians, Africans and other pure so called 3rd world countries.
A love song in a time of War! A reminder we all must choose sides. What side are you on? Just remember “Radio Raheem” told us – “Love Wins!” Nice intro, good bass and drum line but overall the track lacks energy. Where is the passion, the rock out solo on guitar, the anticipated scream and shout. Her delivery left me wanting….waiting on the remix.

Wow! I cannot wait! Saw her Lover’s Rock tour 10 years ago – one of the greatest concerts audibly that I’ve been to, hands down (and I go to ALOT of concerts). Been a fan of Sade’s for 20 years.
This means TOUR!
It is okay. Nothing monumental here. I would not expect this average song to get airplay.
FN WICKED!!!!!! INSANE!! SEXY AS USUAL!
I was wondering what happened to Sade. The arrangement is cool. The sound is definitely hers. I will be looking forward to hearing the whole CD. Drum track is outstanding.
My absolutely favorite artist! Cover brings back wonderful memories of E Africa and listening to Sade at top volume on the edge of Lake Victoria. Have seen her in live performances several times and, unlike some artists, is just as good as her recordings!! Keep on writing and singing, Babe!!
Please please please let this mean Sade is touring again!!
Single is great! I love Sade! Marie she always reminded me of you and Nicole! The CD cover is Hot!
Sade is A Goddess when it comes to music. and we all should be thankful for these gifts
Oh My God………… I wanna cry,i have missed her so much. Music is so terrible with the exception of a few artists. WHEN DOES THIS ALBUM COME OUT SO I CAN STALK IT?! I LOVE HER, SHE COULD SING MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB AND IT WOULD BE AL THE SAME GREAT MUSIC SHE DOES. Her lyrical content is ingenius. ANY TIME you can leave the game for this long and come back this strong, YOU ARE A BEAST! I love her!!!!!
Ahhhh! Sade you are killing us with such gorgeous music!!
OMG this is just what I expect from her!! Just perfect I love everything about the groove. The sound is perfect. No matter if she’s out of the scene for another 10 years she’ll still make a come back. I love the fact that she kept her style. It’s like she never left us!! Love you Sade!!!
Its great to see Sade back,i knew she was coming back just didn’t know when.I have been listening to her since the 80s and she is still a bad mama jama.Keep up the good work Sade and if you feel you need to take another long break to come back with an awsome come back song then gurl by all means do soo.

Sade and Maxwell are the only two artists who can be absent from the scene for 10 years, well, Maxwell was about 8, and come back to only make an amazing impact on the music industry. Finally, good, grown folk music is back! Is that her band “Sweetback” playing in the background?? It would be awesome if that magical collaboration between Sade and Sweetback were alive and playing together again.
Unbelievable!!!!
Something really new and as every time from Sade – THE BEST!!!
thanks for this…been listening all morning. can’t wait for the video!
5 times in a row baby! This the epitome of Dopealicious! As for Nas on the remix i could hear that!
She is back!!! Can’t wait for the album … this single is nice. So haunting yet percussive.
I’ve never been a Sade fan and this does nothing to change my mind. The arrangements on her songs always sound like they’re made for shopping malls and her voice lacks tonal variety and nuance. I’m sure this will sell by the truckload though; After all, it sounds like everything else she’s ever done.
Haha, spoken like a true detractor. It’s funny how they are always male. Sure, this isn’t ‘Sweetest Taboo’ but it’s still a solid track. It’s clear that you just don’t understand Sade’s music. Each album has a distinct mood and arrangements to fit whilst maintaining that unmistakeable, ineffable quality that is theirs. She is one of the best lyricists of our generation if you took the time to listen instead of allowing your cursory observations of her music blind your judgment and as for her voice…she’s one of the most distinctive contraltos in music! First of all it’s not as if she doesn’t use any vocal nuance at all. You only have to pay attention to how she’s progressed vocally on each album to know she’s not his hum-drum singer so many assume she is. She might not employ some of the vocal tricks as other vocalists but she doesn’t need to. She plays to her strength which, unlike most, is having such a unique sound. It’s not offensively unique either, but sweet and plaintive. Not everyone can be a wailing, screeching Mariah soundalike. I am a fan of good power vocals myself but I am also a fan of individuality and Sade as a band have always defined the game by their own rules. Too few artists can do that and pull it off for the best part of 30 years. Know your history. It’s fine not to share the opinion of others but give credit where credit is due. There are plenty of acts for whom I don’t have much time but I can appreciate their contribution to music and why they mean so much to others. When you dismiss so readily a band as influential and seminal as Sade I think it says more about your musical credentials or lack thereof, than anything else.
Shalom, Miss T x
in response to tolita, All criticisms are good. Sade music obviously stirs a passion in you about her music which is great but people look for different things within music so to take time out and make a comment and give some input is a good thing right? Im an artsist and when I ask what people think of what ive done,i tend to listen to people who criticise it more so i can learn from it and see what else i can do and the differeing tastes, but still maintain my identity. The problem with music these days you have to cater to wider audeince in your album. Its difficult at the moment!! TRIBAL IS IN!!! Sade has got her style and brought it forward.
Critique is good of course and we can’t all like the same things. I do have problems with ill-informed and dismissive comments like the one to which I wrote a response. As for catering to different tastes…that is part of Sade’s genius. They’ve always managed to bring together a cross-section of people with their fanbase. There’ll always people who don’t get it but I tend to find they’ve never really tried to anyway.
Don’t know about that one.
Great bands mature with thier audiences while attracting new fans. I am willing to bet that most fans who have been around since Diamond Life will be a bit turned off by this track as it sounds like a Lovers Rock leftover MUSICALLY. While Sade voice and words are as beautiful and haunting as ever, ever since Lovers Rock, the boys in the band have forgotten how to play thier instruments in favor of the current lazy mans way of pushing buttons on a computer. While modernizing music with computers is okay, nothing can ever compare to the Soulful sound of Real instruments. As with Lovers Rock, MUSICALLY this track sounds soul-less. Something that up until Love Deluxe the band managed to grow and keep fresh. Way too much stale computerized music.
Just speaking as a diehard Sade fan who loves Music as much as I do her voice, this is a disappointing musical off-shoot of her worst musical effort Lovers Rock.
I wouldn’t go that far. Diamond Life is my favourite album but I can still embrace the band’s desire to evolve. They haven’t sold out exactly and even with the digital sound they are playing by their own rules as always. I do prefer older Sade albums yes, and Lovers Rock isn’t one of their best but the most important element, the songwriting, remains in tact even on that one. If you don’t like the studio version of ‘Soldier of Love’ the live interpretation may very well win you over. The band haven’t forgotten to play and it’s unfair to dismiss them as being ‘soulless’ because this has a more polished sound. Sade have always been in different places sonically on each album. Diamond Life was more jazz-infused, Stronger than Pride more stark in its arrangements, Love Deluxe bringing more of the soul and a tad bit of Hip -hop percussion in places, Lovers Rock was more of a folk record-I could go on. Yet the common denominator remains the distinctive Sade sound, lady AND band. Allow them to grow in different directions..at least sound out the new album before drawing such a downbeat conclusion
funny you say tribal is in.
I love tribal music and this musically is a cheap computer immitation of tribal music. Tribal music is played with real instruments that you can hear. The problem here is that the computerization of the music drowns out the real instruments and soulful sound Sade has been known for from the start. This sounds like a leftover demo from Lovers Rock. What the hell happened to Paul Denman, I can’t hear one bass note over all the computer sounds.
“Leftover demo from Lovers Rock”?! Anyone responding to Dono would make much better use of their time pumping this hot track and feeding their soul with some real music. Sade is always timeless, crosses all music barriers and always exceeds sales expectations. Lovers Rock sold over 3,500,000 copies…
Amazing I love it !!!!
Tour to South africa pleeeeeeeez!!!
This track is hauntingly beautiful!!!
Surely you do not wait in vain. I love you “Tar Baby”.
Click track, sound effects, cliched, corny, self-indulgent, callow lyrics – what’s not to like? Sounds canned, poorly imagined, and produced without that freshness and energy that have distinguished her. I’d strip this tune to the basic melody, add some real musical performance, deepen and enrich the lines with more natural emotional imagery, and re-release as the “organic” version as compared to this brand plug-in. Drat!
People, you have to allow this amazing woman(SADE) to be in the 21st-century! Stop looking backwards, look forward. Recognize that greatness doesn’t always have to be analog,it can be digital, too. She has evolved. She has had a kid,& been through a lot since she last put out a record. She is still soulful, even without live instruments. And her words still resonate emotionally. ‘maninthehills’,I’m sure Sade will be coming to get a remix from you next week. NOT! Your comments are basically saying “Please do what you already did years ago & just stay the same,Sade.” What true artist wants to do that?
Uh oh . . .
I disregard my first impression @ the first listen of any single, or album – so scratch everything I might have said already, I wasn’t really ready. I wear a track out on headphones or test it with my landjet’s crushing p:logic. Done it with this one, punching through earwax, blasting cortex, tinnitusing, vibrate me! drum it into me! imbed me! and? and? you know what? For a title track, from a pop/soul master, these are some pretty lame pedestrian least common denominator lyrics, and ¡que lastima! since Sade’s always had the money sound as a songwriter and coulda wrestled a little harder with the muse (shoulda called me to tag team team, right?). Yep, it’s my fault, it’s literature, it’s roots, blues, Cole P., Trane, Marvin, Vinx, Van, Bob M. and D., Burning Spear, Nas, Lauryn, MIA, Gilberto, Sade (oops!), higher education, peops taking off their animal skins, nature and Jah, Logos, nevah the tele, what hype, why false media? I miss culture, don’t you? and something in half-felt lukewarm artificial flavor grates on me, that mellow pop radio play nausea, like a weak campaign speech. The allegre chorus? some of the other bridges? slick, but lyrically sui generis, plus how many sound effects can Stuart burn in, the over-programmed fake snare rattle, and that tiresome minute-plus fadeout and more fadeout that endless fadeout still the fadeout, sh*t! fadeout why don’t you?!!! . . . Celebrity musicians routinely pour their emotional jizz and creative ashtrays all over our adoring brows, a la, “Drink my bath water kids, you’ll love it, b/c it’s me-flavored!” But, “I was never into girls, I was just into my music,” riot culture junkie killer Cali coulda been da Bx old school post-modern ultra deluxe stickiest of the icky drive all night through the desert to reach her cool down the pace style, and this has some cool lampiness, is a little damp even, I can see tipping my KGB flask real late lifted that Sade is keeping me company, that moment might kinda maybe make homeboy mossy and soft, but some of her circus animals have bolted (please, not too far!), no musical Medina here, as a production it’s off the mark, Greek sin, too much sonic fillertrickery, for me a demo vibe and feel, de minimis, which apparently some peops in this bleached out cultural 21 C. wilderness are REALLY feeling, and hoowaahh, different strokes folks. I’m a fan, and will cop, hope the whole shebangabang changes my mind, but from this one, prolly I’m waiting in vain. F*ckkritix! keep on keeping on sistah, can’t wait to see you in my favorite metropole sexy gurl wit a baby! I contradict myself? “A spiritual student needs the power to discriminate.” Why fake the funk, evah?
Even though I didn’t agree with your first analysis ManOftheHills I thought it was intelligently expressed with some element of validity. Now you just seemed to have disappeared up (or smoked) a pipe and I suspect its your own. And to mention MIA in the same breath as Sade? Well that’s just low. What did Ms Adu do to be listed with that emperors-new-clothes charlatan?
We get it. You don’t like the track. Boo hoo. It doesn’t mean it marks a decline in Sade’s output or that all those who enjoy it are the same lemmings who think the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna or Tynchy Strider are making a valuable, harm-free contribution to music. It’s just your POV. No one here, including myself should make themselves the arbiter of taste.
To each his own.
Maxwell confirmed on his Twitter, that he and Sade did NOT work together. It’s a total rumor, and NOT TRUE. I wish it was, but it’s not.
I’m definitely not crazy about the orchestration on ‘soldier of love’; the Sade’s touch is here for sure but all the ‘soldier’ sounds don’t work for me. i love when her sound is smooth… So a little disappointed by this first single, but i’m really excited about this new album coming in february and i’m glad to see that a lot of people like this new song too. love live the queen :)
This track is so fresh!!! So cool and everything and more you would expect from Sade. Something to feed your intellect. And to the person who said it was a mess, yes that’s your opinion, what exactly did you have in mind? Its all about the future baby.
Love Sade!!!! Can’t wait!
yeah….Sade has blessed us with a new cut. – 713black.com
Prepare for a baby boom. Can’t wait for the tour. Saints in the Superbowl and Sade’s new album, 2010 is a gonna be great.

It’s a mess Im dissapointed. Im a big fan of most of her past music but this is screaming cut out bin
Keep dreaming!
Keep listening, you’ll get the message!
Its f**k*ng awesome!
I would have to concur. I love all of Sade’s studio albums…my least favorite by far is Lovers Rock. Why, because of the cold lifeless sound of the MUSIC. I love Sade’s voice and words but I am a fan of the bands musical stylings on real instruments. With that said, I’m diggin’ Sade’s voice and the beat to the song, but the rest of the music in this song has No Soul!
Too bad the boys in the band forgot how to play real instruments.
oh, how i’ve missed hearing their creations! all SADE albums have stood the test of time. been waiting so long for this! haven’t been so excited for a release in a loooooong time! can’t wait to hear this LIVE!
PEACE.LOVE.RESPECT.

First, I don’t think the phrase “murder the game” would accurately describe how her next album will affect music. I’m sure you could have used a better term to describe the thoughts you are trying to convey since “murder the game” is not only cliche but also extremely ignorant. Secondly, hopefully her new album will spur you to use your brain a little more. Yes, the world needs Sade’s beautiful voice back in 2010.
You’re a hater. Maybe you’re from the middle east where free speak could get you killed. “Murder the Game” of silly one hit wonder songs, that appearently you feel so strongly about. Grow up. When people speak their mind about how they feel, just shut up and listen. You could learn something.
Oh, stop fighting ladies and enjoy this masterpiece! Cee, don’t get all “Dead Poet Society” and “Maya Angelou” on us. I’m with you Lifesaver, express that love anyway you need to. The track is definitely Fiyah. In fact, I pray Sade “Murders the Game” and brings a “mother#@%^in” grenade. We need it, NOW!
chillz… Sade is about to BRING IT!!! Has it really been 10 years??? I guess I softened the blow playing the Sweetback record over and over and over again. did i mention chillz??
Shes gonna murder the game with this album…Music is coming back in 2010

Gorgeously dope….
I liked it but I would love to hear a sequel to Love Deluxe. One of my favorite Sade albums.I hope they at least put another instrumental on this album.
Funny you should say that because the way she’s moved on from ‘Lovers Rock’ it’s a bit like the transition between ‘Stronger Than Pride’ and ‘Love Deluxe’. She’s sounding a lot deeper on this. I think this will get the attention of the Hip-Hop-influenced R&B generation more than ‘Lovers Rock’. It reminds me a bit of the Neptunes sound at the start of the decade. Thankfully it’s still got the definitive Sade vibe. Melody and chord progression is theirs all the way. A collabo with Maxwell would be fantastic and the most overdue and natural one. They both after all have Stuart Matthewman in common.
This is a strong comeback:Looking forward to promo vid. I’m thinking the album will be even better than Lovers Rock which was really inspired in places (King of Sorrow, SOmebody Already Broke My Heart, Slave song) but not as consistent as some of Sade’s previous albums. It was always going to be worth the wait…
Shalom, Miss T x
10yrs out of the game and she’s killing these jive turkeys!
I love the single …. I want a poster!
Marie You always reminded me of her!! You and Nicole!! Great single and the cover is HOT!!!
