Rita Ora’s debut album ORA tops the UK Albums Charts | Music News

As expected Roc Nation darling Rita Ora cliamed the top spot on the UK Album Chart with her debut long player ORA.
The West London bred singer’s achievement comes two weeks after she topped the UK single’s chart with “How We Do (Party).” The LP, which features production work from Will.I.Am, Kanye West, Drake and Stargate also features her two previous smash hits single “Hot Right Now” featuring DJ Fresh, and “R.I.P.” featuring Tinie Tempah as well as her Roc Nation collaboration “Love And War” with J. Cole.

Its been a incredible rise for the artist who got her first commercial look in 2007 when she featured on Craig David‘s single “Awkward.” Two years later Rita tried out to represent the UK in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest contestant. Alas she didn’t make the cut however that same year signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation stable and thus began her rise to international fame.

Elsewhere in the UK Album’s Chart, Emeli Sande‘s Our Version Of Events moved down one spot to number two, The Black Keys‘ incredible El Camino moves up one spot to number six, Plan B‘s Ill Monors jumps to number seven and Labrinth‘s debut album Electronic Earth climbs up three spots to number thirty seven.
