Rihanna furious at MTV News Canada for false Chris Brown report

Although both the popstress and C. Breezy have tried to put that night behind them, it seems neither Rihanna nor Chris Brown can shake off the dark shadow of when Chris assaulted his then-girlfriend. Reappearing every so often to be used against them both (with Tyler, the Creator even recently calling Chris a b*itch on stage for beating a girl), the latest resurrection comes in the form of a grave error on the part of MTV Canada.

“I admit, I provoked Chris to hit me. It was not entirely his fault. #ImSORRY” the singer was said to have tweeted. The tweet however did not appear on Rihanna’s timeline, and MTV Canada were quick to feel her wrath:

MTV replied, saying: “#Rihanna fans. We were reporting on a story that was posted on several sites today. We had no intention to be salacious.”

Whether or not the tweet ever actually appeared on Rihanna’s official page aside, it seems Twitter is getting the pair in a lot of trouble these days. Chris Brown and Odd Future’s beef, and his supposed gay slurs further prove that their tweeting fingers may need to take a break.
