Rick Ross Takes Maybach Music Group to Warner | News

After a few weeks of speculation, which included acquiring the musical services of Hip Hop artists Wale and Meek Mills, Rick Ross has finally put pen to paper which will see hes Maybach Music Group, move from it’s original distribution label of Def Jam to Warner Music Group, home to the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Estelle, Bruno Mars, B.o.B and Kid Rock. A few hours ago, Ricky Roazy, who’s recent album, Teflon Don, was certified US Gold a little over 3 months after it’s release, took to his Twitter account to announce the big news [See below]. Ross will be working closely with Lyor Cohen, the current CEO of Recorded Music for Warner Music Group and the former president of Def Jam Records who during his tenure at Def Jam helped elevate the careers of Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Method Man, DMX and Sisqo, to name but a few.
