Rick Ross’ ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ debuts at No. 1 on Billboard Top 200 | Music News
It looks like Rick Ross wasn’t far wrong with all that big talk about his new album. As predicted last week, God Forgives, I Don’t has entered the U.S. Billboard 200 chart at the No. 1 spot, earning the Bawse his fourth No. 1 album.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, the record sold over 218k copies – well in the ball park of the expected 200-220k range – marking Ross’ biggest sales week ever, topping his previous record of 198k which Trilla achieved in 2008. The rapper’s previous albums, 2006’s Port of Miami and 2009’s Deeper Than Rap, also topped the chart upon their respective releases.
The news comes just days after his success across the pond. On Sunday (August 5th), God Forgives, I Don’t debuted at No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart, scoring Rozay his first-ever top 10 album in the country. Many congratulations are in order for hip-hop’s biggest Bawse!
