Rick Ross covers Rolling Stone Magazine, discusses past as corrections officer | Music News

Rick Ross is consuming the media as if it were a freshly served Big Mac. As if gracing the covers of VIBE and RESPECT. with your portly frame isn’t enough stroking of the ego, the Maybach Music boss goes topless (again) for Rolling Stone‘s new issue.

Not just a pretty picture (thank Terry Richardson for that) however, the cover story offers Rozay’s thoughts on the seizures he suffered last year, being a popular kid in high school, and (finally) his past as a corrections officer – something, he says, helped him to “wash my hands” following his close friend’s incarceration.

“This was my best friend, who I ate peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches with, and pork and beans with, my buddy, my partner, my number-one dude. Suddenly I’m talking to him over federal phone calls. Hearing the way it was building, I knew I couldn’t take nothing for granted,” he said. “My homey’s father was a huge influence on my life, too . . . He was the one who was like, ‘Yo, go get a job somewhere, man. Go be a fireman. Or go be a fucking corrections officer. Just go sit down somewhere.”
