40 years ago legendary guitarist and singer/songwriter Jimi Hendrix died in London aged 27, following a notoriously colourful life. The icons’ achievements include being the first artist inducted to the Native American Music Hall Of Fame, the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the UK Music Hall of Fame, garnering major success with his album trilogy The Jimi Hendrix Experience and releasing 11 albums posthumously. Aside from inspiring a plethora of guitarists and musicians, Hendrix is also regarded as a cultural and fashion icon.
