Phoenix Martins covers Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” | New Music


Fresh face on the scene Phoenix Martins has just released this stunning cover of Lana Del Rey‘s already iconic breakthrough single “Video Games”. The young Londoner, who has already performed alongside Mark Ronson at Camden’s Roundhouse and toured the world as part of Damon Albarn’s Africa Express, is working on her debut mixtape, which will be released as a free download later this year.  She plans to follow that up with an EP of original material to be released in Summer 2012.

Whilst working on those projects, Phoenix has also been recording covers of some of her favourite songs, which she’ll be dropping on her YouTube channel on a regular basis. A visual for her “Video Games” cover is forthcoming, but in the meantime, check out the audio, which she’s made available for free download, below.
