Pharoahe Monch – “Bad MF” | New Music

Pharoahe Monch

It’s been just under three years since his last solo album and now, preparing to release his fourth, Pharoahe Monch leads the way letting his lyrics spray to remind all what a “Bad MotherF***er” he is.

Following on from his well received W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) LP in 2011, the highly rated lyricist’s imminent assault on 2014 is a concept album named PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder); throughout which the Queens, New York native will “narrate as an independent artist weary from the war against the industry machine and through the struggle of the black male experience in America.”

Due for release in April, expect guest appearances from Black Thought, Talib Kweli, Denaun Porter, The Stepkids and Vernon Reid on the album, with production by Marco Polo, Jesse West, The Lion Share, Quelle Chris and Lee Stone – the latter responsible for the pacing instrumental of “Bad MF,” as Monch lets the LP’s on-the-edge protagonist’s confrontational stream of consciousness flow on the first track to be revealed from PTSD.

While we wait for PTSD to kick in, listen to “Bad MF” below – available to purchase now on iTunes.
