Peter, Bjorn and John take on Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness” [Video]
Swedish trio Peter, Bjorn and John aren’t famed for being particularly traditionally soulful, however, have taken on soul legend Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness,” most recently popularised by Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Otis” from their Watch The Throne album.
The cover, as part of a series for The A.V. Club, sees the scandanavian indie outfit throwing some shapes in a performance that definitely gets better as it goes along. Incidentally, Kanye West sampled their song “Young Folks” on his Can’t Tell Me Nothing mixtape, so there’s something a little full circle-ish about this performance…kinda.
Get into it and if you like them, check out their latest album Gimme Some.
