Pete Rock & Lupe Fiasco settle differences over “T.R.O.Y.” sample & announce collaboration

What looked to be a disappointing and unnecessary disagreement between two focal hip-hop names has now birthed a very exciting collaboration. Following the release of Lupe Fiasco‘s debut Food & Liquor 2 single “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)“, legendary producer Pete Rock made it clear he wasn’t happy with the song’s sampling of his classic “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” track. Now, however, it appears that Fiasco and Rock have come to an agreement on the matter, and will be working together for what sounds to be a new “T.R.O.Y.” remake.
