Nicki Minaj continues to expand her brand and diversify her business portfolio with the impending release of her first official fragrance, “Pink Friday.” The Young Money first lady took to her Twitter account Tuesday to reveal the bottle’s design and field some questions about the fragrance from her legion of loving “Barbz.”
The bottle is a bust of Minaj with her signature pink bob — which she says she was “determined to have” — and a gold chain with her name on it.
“I designed this scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind; I know they will love it!” the 29-year-old superstar said in an April press statement announcing the fragrance’s release. When asked by a Twitter follower how the perfume smells, Minaj quipped: “like angels playing.”
The fragrance project is a collaboration with Give Back Brands, LLC, the company responsible for Justin Bieber‘s record-breaking scent “Someday.”
The “Pink Friday” fragrance is the rapper’s latest foray into the world of beauty products and accessories — she already has a lipstick line with MAC cosmetics and a nail polish collection through OPI — and she also has plans to launch a signature clothing line.
“Pink Friday” hits stores in late September. Minaj says that box sets will also be available.
