Over the past three to four years the UK’s mainstream music charts have seen an influx of British Hip Hop and Grime artists gaining success in both the singles and albums departments. However with the exception of Wretch 32, Professor Green and Sway, UK rappers have been light in the commercial arena during 2012.

Last week, one of this year’s few dark horses, London based emcee Smiler released the visuals to his Professor Green and Tawiah assisted single “Top Of The World“, from his forthcoming Warner Bros Records debut LP, to rave reviews. Last night, Dubstep pioneers Skream and Benga were given the green light to play the track’s official Dubstep remix put together by highly sought after beatsmith Jakwob.
