Metta - Point Of No Return

Taking his rap career very seriously these days, Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, continues to play for the Los Angeles Lakers whilst dropping new record “Point Of No Return” with quick spitter Tech N9ne.

Released via Say So Entertainment, “Point Of No Return” is the first cut to be be released off of Metta’s upcoming mixtape Passion. Getting grimey on the self-produced track – with assistance from Rockaway, the LA Laker describes his come up as a baller growing up in the hood chasing his dream during dark days. With indie legend Tech N9ne on deck, spitting over a haunting beat has never sounded so comfortable.

A baller spitting rhymes. Aside from Shaquille O’Neal‘s occasionally successful attempts, does anyone remember Allen Iverson aka Jewelz, or even Chris Webber aka C. Webb? In fact, didn’t Kobe Bryant make a record with Tyra Banks? Well, like Drake said on ‘Thank Me Now’, “Damn, I swear sports and music are so synonymous/ Cause we want to be them, and they want to be us.”
