Katy B – 5AM (2)

South London songstress Katy B takes us back too the dance-floor, providing the soundtrack to that early morning rave experience with her brand new single “5AM”.

The track recently premièred on BBC Radio 1 and becomes the second single to be see light from her much-anticipated sophomore LP, following on from her debut single “What Love is Made Of” released back in July. ’90’s dance-influenced synths, and deep, infectious basslines fuse well with Katy’s angelic vocals as she sings “I need some lovin’ like valium” – this one sure to be a dance-floor filler.

The 2011 Mercury Music Award winner will be aiming to scale the heights of  tracks such as”Lights On” and “Broken Record” taken from her debut album On a Mission as we await an official date and title for release for her second project. She of course did release the “Danger EP” last year, which featured Jessie Ware, Iggy Azalea and the Grime Godfather Wiley amongst other star names.

“5AM” will be available digitally from October 28 with pre-orders available soon. Listen to the track below in the mean time, and give us your thoughts.
