Coming from the city of Manchester, emerging singer Josephine brings us the video for her second single, “Original Love” from her soon to drop debut album, Portrait.

A mélange of sounds can be found on the ode to love, rendered by the new artist who is prepping for the October 8th release date of her album; which she has worked on with Leo Abrahams, Jimmy Hogarth, Polar Bear‘s drummer Seb Rochford and Mercury Prize-nominee Ed Harcourt.

“I know it’s hard to find it, it doesn’t come easy… original love… Don’t want to play no games, because there are too many games, too many games, I want to keep it so simple, until it’s just a boy meets girl…” she sings, Josephine’s rich soulful-folk vocals offset by the minimalist visuals that see her surrounded by traditional materials as she performs the track, which follows the project’s first single “What A Day’.”

Portrait is released October 8th through Rubyworks/Ark Recordings [Pre-order].
