After 15 years of sharing rhymes, Crooked I finally releases his official debut studio album, Apex Predator.

Let me fill you in on a little Crooked I history, really quick. Back in the late ’90s, Crook’s album with 19th Street/Virgin Records was never released. Then in the 2000s, two projects for Death Row Records were recorded, Untouchable and Say Hi To The Bad Guy, those were also never released. Dun Dun Dunnnnn. While the Long Beach spitter has released a ton of freebies and mixtapes throughout the years and has recorded and released albums with Slaughterhouse, Apex Predator is still his first album and “truly independent.”

In an interview with HipHopDX, Crooked I shares his thoughts on whether he considers this to be a debut album. “That’s a tough question, man, ’cause to be honest with you, I’ve been puttin’ out so much music that it just feels like another body of work with some joints on there that I hope the fans fuck with.”
