We were told about it, we waited for it (then we waited for it some more) and finally, today, G.O.O.D. Music‘s reinvention of young Chief Keef‘s “I Don’t Like” is here – with veteran emcee Jadakiss in tow for added beef. Not only is the remix itself a phenomenal effort, combining the lyrical muscle of Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean and Jada, but the story of how the collaboration came about is equally as interesting.

In the space of four months, 16-year-old Chicago-born rapper Chief Keef has seen his local, high school-level popularity skyrocket to a platform where his material is in constant rotation on major blogs like Fake Shore Drive, RapRadar and The FADER, and co-signs from Kanye West and Rick Ross ain’t a thing.

Much like Keef has done in his early career, we’ll let the music itself do the talking (and boastful shouting it does). Apparently, Maybach Music, Cash Money and Soulja Boy‘s SODMG label are all competing to ink the teenage rapper, which should make for a very exciting spectator sport indeed.

Byang Byang.
