It’s been a little while since we last heard from Asaad after his premeditated departure last year. However, the belated return is now upon us as the Philadelphia rapper drops off his latest track “Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow.”

Produced by Trox, the artists formally know as Saudi Money recruits TDE golden lyricist Ab-Soul for this soulful cut. Sampling Bill Monroe & Doc Watson, the two gifted freshmen flow perfectly over the track Alejandro Jodorowsky inspired track; who, if you didn’t know, was a huge visual inspiration for Kanye West’s recent Yeezus tour. So too for Asaad’s artwork.

Asaad has attracted many admirers over the last few years with his ever-growing body of work, but, at the same time, controversy is just as easily attracted. From Pusha T beefs to the defacing of a few of hip-hop’s greats, Asaad is a promising act likely to blow at any moment – for better or worse.

Asaad will be marking his official return this Thursday as he’s set to release his sophomore effort, Flowers II, but for now you can find the Ab-Soul assisted “Alejandro Jodorowsky Flow” down below.
