After all the speculation, a clip of Adele singing the theme to the new Bond movie Skyfall has surfaced.

The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter confirmed earlier today (October 1st) that the song – the soundtrack to the 23rd Bond film – will premiere in full at 00.07 A.M (U.K time) this Friday, the 5th October.

Adele wrote the track, the first new material we’ve heard from her since last year’s masterpiece 21, alongside producer Paul Epworth.   According to Consequence of Sound, she recorded it in front of a 77-piece orchestra at London’s famous Abbey Road Studio. In a press release she conceded that she was “a little hesistant at first to be involved with the theme song” but that “it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer in the end”.

The London-born singer added, “I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I’m sure.”
