Young Interscope artist Ahsan covers Jackson 5’s ‘Who’s Loving You’ [Video]

This is pretty impressive — 14-year-old singer Ahsan Watts absolutely nailed this cover of “Who’s Loving You,” the Smokey Robinson-penned soul classic most famously performed by the Jackson 5. Ahsan is signed to Interscope Records, and it’s fair to say he was pretty unknown prior to this video dropping a couple of days ago. Now it’s on the way to becoming a viral sensation, having already garnered nearly 60,000 YouTube views. It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes Ahsan’s social networking numbers to increase at a rate which matches the views he’s racking up — we’re potentially witnessing the birth of a future superstar here.

“Who’s Loving You” is a song that’s been covered countless times, particularly by young talent. The most recent was Shaheen Jafargholi, who shot to fame performing the track as a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent and then went on to appear on Oprah Winfrey‘s chat show. As if that weren’t enough, Jafargholi then performed at Michael Jackson‘s memorial service after originally being slated to appear alongside the late, great icon during his mooted London concerts. A 13-year-old Lauryn Hill even performed the track on Showtime at The Apollo.

These are big shoes for young Ahsan to fill but, in my opinion, he stepped up admirably.
