Nasty Nas was across the pond recently and made the obligatory stop at Tim Westwood‘s show on BBC Radio 1. The duo discussed the whole Nicki Minaj/Summer Jam debacle, the Don’s current feelings about the institution of marriage considering what happened with his own, fatherhood, and, of course, the highly-anticipated Life Is Good album. He also took a few questions from listeners, one of which sparked a somewhat unexpected response.
When asked which young artist he’d most like to collaborate with, the first name out of Nas’ mouth was fellow New Yorker and rapper-turned-“vocalist” Azealia Banks. The legend then went on to list some of the other youngbloods he’s feeling, including A$AP Rocky, Meek Mill, Drake, Lil’ Wayne (who’s not a youngster, but still…) and “everybody who’s really hittin’ hard.”
Always good to get into the head of our veterans. Watch the full interview below, and remember that Life Is Good drops July 17th.
