Mystikal reportedly released from prison | Music News

Mystikal is once again a free man. According to TMZ, the rapper was released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail in Louisiana this morning (August 3rd). The New Orleans native began serving his 81-day sentence – which was handed for a probation violation – on May 14th.

Mystikal will now look to hit the ground running with his Cash Money family. It was back in April when label head Birdman showed his support to his recruit, and stated than plans will come into immediate effect upon his release.

“Them little 80 days, them ain’t about nothing,” he told XXL. “We’ll be on his next single as he comes home. From the concrete, straight to the concrete. Ya heard me.”

Mystikal is expected to put out both the Origins mixtape and his debut album on Cash Money, Original, in coming months.
