Warren G f/ Latoiya Williams – “This Is Dedicated to You” (Nate Dogg Tribute) [Video]

On the first anniversary of Nate Dogg‘s death, Warren G released the video for the song he recorded with Latoiya Williams last year paying tribute to his lifelong homie.

Before becoming Hip-Hop’s go-to guy for hooks for over a decade, Nate Dogg was one-third of West Coast rap crew 213 alongside Warren G and Snoop Doggy Dogg. Nate’s soulful, slightly unpolished vocals immediately caught the attention of Warren’s half-brother Dr. Dre, prompting him to feature Nate prominently on his classic debut, The Chronic. Once the industry got a taste of Nate’s infectious style, rappers from across the map were clamoring to get him on their songs. Some of his most recognizable appearances were on Mista Grimm’s “Indo Smoke“; 213’s “Game Don’t Wait“; and the classic “Regulate” with Warren G. One of his more recent hits was his collaboration with 50 Cent on “21 Questions” from 50’s Diamond-selling Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

On December 17, 2007, Nate Dogg suffered his first of two strokes, with the second one striking less than a year later, in September 2008. He succumbed to complications of the multiple strokes on March 15, 2011, in Long Beach, California. He was only 41.
