Tyler The Creator signs deal with XL Recordings + “Yonkers” Official Video

I am still NOT sure if the world is ready for LA-based Hip-Hop collective, Odd Future (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) and it’s frontman, Tyler The Creator but thanks to his recent signing to XL Recordings on a reported “one-album” deal, you will be hearing and seeing more of this 19-year old.
From getting snubbed by pioneering Hip-Hop blogs such as 2dopeBoyz and NahRight (and turning around to diss these blogs) to being lauded by the likes of Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and The Fader with every other “music” blog and publication scrambling to get in on the action; Tyler the Creator and his OFWGKTA cohorts have challenged the traditional Hip-Hop status quo and are winning.
This video which Tyler released six days ago has already amassed close to 500,000 views on Youtube. Watch the self-directed video below for Tyler The Creator’s brand new single ‘Yonkers’ (also produced by himself aka Wolf Haley) which is off of his forthcoming sophomore album titled ‘Goblin’, the follow-up to his criminally slept-on and underrated 2009 debut effort ‘Bastard’.

OFWGKTA will be making their first TV performance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night (February 16) and will also be performing at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 15.
